CARS Tour West “Star Nursery Classic presented by Hoosier Tire” to Kick Off South Point 400 NASCAR Weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

BAKERSFIELD, CALIF. – July 19, 2024 - CARS Tour West is proud to announce the “Star Nursery Classic presented by Hoosier Tire” will run at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday, Oct. 18, kicking off “South Point 400” weekend.
The inaugural run of the “Star Nursery Classic presented by Hoosier Tire” will feature Super Late Models joining the zMAX CARS Tour West Pro Late Models, fueled by El Bandido Yankee Tequila, and the MMI Legends Tour West, presented by Frank’s Radio. Additionally, a Monster Truck demolition show will anchor the evening’s entertainment.
Race fans will be excited to see NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kevin Harvick compete with his #62 Busch Light-sponsored car in the Super Late Model race of this highly anticipated event. Harvick’s son, Keelan, will also showcase his racing skills behind the wheel of his #62 Hunt Brothers Pizza-backed hot rod during the MMI Legends Tour West presented by Frank’s Radio feature.

West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame member and Star Nursery Garden Centers owner Craig Keough expressed his excitement for the October 18th event. “Star Nursery is pleased to continue its support of grassroots racing at The Bullring,” said Keough. “Our commitment to the Star Nursery Classic is a continuation of our thirty years of providing support to the motorsports community in Las Vegas and the entire Southwest.”
The “Star Nursery Classic presented by Hoosier Tire” will take place over two days, with an optional test day on Thursday, Oct. 17, for Pro Lates, Super Lates, and Legends to prepare before the main event on Friday, Oct. 18.
Event Highlights:
zMAX CARS Tour West Fueled by El Bandido Yankee Tequila “Pro Late Model 100”
The Pro Late Model 100 will serve as the penultimate race of the 2024 championship season. Pro Late Models will compete for a season-high $10,000 to win in this main event.
MMI Legend Tour West Presented by Frank’s Radio Service “Legends 40”
The 40 lap main event will feature MMI Legend Tour West drivers battling it out on the 3/8th mile Bullring for Round #9 of the 2024 Championship. The fastest 24 cars will compete for a $1,000 to win main event.
Super Late Models “Star Nursery Super Late 100”
The “Star Nursery Super Late 100” invites all Super Late Models to compete in a high-stakes 100-lap exhibition showdown where the winner takes home $10,000.
Event Schedule:
• Thursday, Oct. 17: Optional test day
• Friday, Oct. 18: Main event day featuring Pro Late Model, Super Late Models, and Legend events, along with the Cyclops Monster Truck / The Mayhem Machine Destruction Battle, and Fireworks.
